  • Benjamin UK is looking for Therapeutic Care Practitioners (Children/young people 12-18yrs EBD) to work as part of a team.

Along with great pay we offer company pension, an excellent training package and flexible working patterns. The salary is *£28,600 to £29,250

  • per annum, with increments on gaining experience & qualifications (NVQ).

A degree in psychology or criminology or working with children with EBD are preferred. We provide 24 hour wrap around and fully integrated therapeutic care.

  • Shifts are 24.5 hours 10am - 10.30am the following day and include an onsite sleep-in from 11pm to 7am*).
  • The Therapeutic Residential Children's Support Workers will be responsible for:*\*
  • Supporting your people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and young people experiencing mental health problems.
  • Helping promote a stimulating, caring and culturally appropriate environment for the young people.
  • Providing practical and emotional support to young people under the guidance of the Management team.
  • Work closely with young people, their families and professionals according to programmes and plans that have been implemented.
  • Assist the individual to live a full and meaningful life that develops their potential and promotes their rights.

We provide full training for applicants who have no previous experience and are interested in care as a career whether it is after college or before retirement. \*

  • The successful Therapeutic Residential Children's Support Workers will meet the following criteria:*\*
  • Hold a full UK driving licence for a manual vehicle.
  • Have a Diploma/NVQ3 in Caring for Children and

Young People or commitment to work towards this qualification.

  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Have the ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual service users, their family and professional colleagues.
  • Have a desire to succeed.
  • Have a degree in psychology, criminology, mental health, nursing or similar ideally but not essential.

This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS and references. The hours of work of work are based on 24.5 hour shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. Five of these shifts are completed every 2 weeks.
